Autumn Luna

Age: 18

Species: Red Squirrel Faunus

Personality: Autumn is a very stoic and withdrawn person, often considered the pessimistic one of Arcadia Academy. Unable to stand the pressure of Ambrose's lowest Tier, she withdrew to the forest and learned to rely only on herself. Trust comes hard and her tactless one word replies discourages all but the most persistent of people trying to 'butter her up like a holiday turkey.'

She's a survivalist at heart, never wasting and snapping at people who take things for granted. She is often seen scavenging after a battle to haul home anything useful that can be fixed or beautified and sold for a few extra dollars. It has lead to something of a problem, and many have seen her sneaking back with old arrow heads, a two legged stool or dismantled machinery back to her room in hopes of a second life. She's very defensive of things that are hers, defending the definite line between mine and thine, whether it be the last cupcake or who's responsibility the chores are.

Her solitary personality carries over to the battlefield where she dismisses teamwork and trust as a liability, but bribes of sweets may sway her for a short time. She has an incurable sweet tooth, and free candy may be the only thing that can sweeten her temper.

Appearance: Short Auburn Hair with light brown eyes, thin and lithe body for dodging and evading attacks, wears a brown leather jacket, white shirt underneath, denim jeans and brown leather boots

Affiliation: Arcadia Academy

Backstory: As a faunus child growing in the slums of Ambrose, Autumn hadn’t had the best childhood. Between the gangs pressuring for “protection money” and drunk humans cursing them in the morning, it was hard for her. One night changed everything. Grimm had entered through the gaping hole in the slums’ Firewall. Her parents were among those that were killed while she escaped out the window and ran. She ended up in the forest with a Beowolf on her tail, but was saved by a man named Donovan. After taking her in, he taught survival in the woods outside the firewall. How to hunt and kill game, scavenge for useful items and forage for food. He even taught her how to make a bow of her own and how to craft her own arrows.

Quotes: “They would sooner fix the slums’ Firewall than let us hunt the creatures of Grimm. There’s no way a human could make it happen, plain and simple.”

Playing Notes: As she’s stoic, withdrawn, and cynical, she stays away from people and isn’t very talkative, save for bits of small talk. However, a mention of any kind of sweet, be it candy, cake, or pie (except for Pecan, she’s allergic to nuts.), her faunus ears perk up, the only time conveys emotion.

Hunting

Weapon: Her first weapon was a make shift bow,“Willow.” However, after her trek to Arcadia Academy, Autumn knew that it wouldn’t be a suitable weapon for a Huntress as it began to fall apart. Then it eventually was destroyed during a Grimm ambush in the forest. Using materials gathered from a junkyard, a few sketches and with the help of Kirmizi, Autumn built her own weapon, “Solstice,” a bolt-action hunting rifle with a large bayonet attachment meant for slashing and stabbing.

Aura and Semblance: Her semblance, as she recently discovered, is a form of sound manipulation. So far, she has only discovered the power throw her voice over a distance, or ventriloquism that can confuse and distract her opponents. Sometimes, she can use this to give short messages from several feet away.

Fighting Style: While outside of battle, she can lend a help with her tracking and scouting skills whenever they enter the forest. In combat, she will hang back and fight with her bow and arrows. She needs a second person to fight with, as her close combat skills are subpar and she doesn’t take a lot of hits.

After gaining Solstice as her weapon and a few practice sessions, Autumn’s fighting style changes to a combination of shooting and slashing/stabbing, as the bayonet blade is for close range swordplay.
