Oh, I shoulda changed this yonks ago! Lots has happened! I went to my first anime con in Brissie, Supernova! All the Medium sized tshirts vanished on the first day so I now have an XL Halo T-shirt which would be ridiculous to wear anywhere anyone can see me. I could turn it into a dress! I picked up two Penny Arcade comicbookss but the real highlight was watching the Cosplay costumes. I drooled and wished I could sew. In highschool I sewed my tie to my teddybear not once but four times so the chances of me cobbling together recognisible is remote.

I also managed to get away for a couple of days for our family's traditional fishing holiday out past Surrat. Out of sixteen people I caught the only fish rather lazily on a handreel, a carp.

I think the highlight was Saturday morning when everyone was up around about 4:30, sitting around the campfire pointing around the landscape and starting every sentence with, "Have you eaten..." Otherwise it was wonderful to sit around bludging and reading. I had to go back early Sunday but it was nice catching up.

Anime Conventions are so much fun!!!! I cosplay all the time... even when i'm not at a con... but i wanna get more into lolita than cosplay now cos loli is so purty!!!!

But i really wanna cosplay as a girl soon >.< ive only cosplayed as guys appart from a really dodgy orihime (bleach) >.<

... How many times do I need to tell people this?

Supanova is NOT an anime convention, it is a pop culture EXPO, not a convention. The focus is on the traders first, guests second, everything else last.

The only anime convention in Brisbane is Animania (2x overpriced 6 hour events during the year), and the Animania events are the worst conventions in Australia.

Seeing all the costumes was a big shocker wasn't it? XD i know the feeling. I was completely shocked when i first saw the costumes. But my first con experience was too much fun ^^

And thats good u had fun with your fam. The fishing trip sounded like a really good time :D

I'm trying to learn how to sew so I CAN cosplay. XD I plan on taking pictures and loading them on DA even if I can never get to a cosplay. Besides, that way I can dress up as some not so recognizable characters (like characters from my fanfictions that aren't anywhere near connectable to a series aka non-Otaku Senshi fan characters. XD) can be showcased. XD

Tell me about it! I was so disappointed that everything was merchandise- practically the same stuff at every stall. Still there were people who'd rather talk about Akira rather than bovine mastitis so I was in heaven!
