*Waggles Hand* G'day everyone, another wide and varied update! Another year older, not particularly wiser but certainly content. Life is cruisy!

I've been using this time to get back on track with my writing, my first really 'serious' planned work since I lost Seisen! Work, planning, art and enjoyment are coming out of it, but I can't post it here because my chapters are too long! *laughs* So it's just as well I've got a place to put it!

RvB Society Fanfiction Archive
RvB Society is a facet of :iconred-vs-blue-society:, for all fanfiction dedicated to the hilarious web machinima, Red vs Blue.

What is this series about? For those who don't know, a machinima is where you use a videogame multiplayer, and with clever editing, soundboarding and script you can make a movie from it. It's cheap but often restricted so you have to have a very good script to pull it off. Red vs Blue does so spectacularly.

Red vs Blue uses the Halo game to detail the lives of two teams of soldiers ineffectively trying to kill each other. It never would have attracted me but the characters are so flawed and pathetic and quirky, and Burnie Burns, the writer's riotous turn of phrase. If you love things that quotable, this series if for you.

My favourite character is Sarge, a violent, crazy, pseudoscientific minded, southern accented sergeant who has all my favourite quotes. By my microscope at work I have two quotes. The first is from our work Health & Safety which is too incredibly stupid for words, 'When lifting pigs, bend from the knees (Ignoring the fact these pigs weigh as much as 400 kgs and not one under 100kgs. Don't mention hooves that crush feet, tusks that gouge flesh like butter and a nose that can uproot trees, lift from the knees people!) and the other is Sarge, equally ridiculous when it comes to lifting heavy objects.

"Don't lift with your legs, your back's the strongest muscle in your body! And look man, your knees aren't even locked. How do you expect to stand up straight? Come on, put your groin into it. And stop exhaling on every list, the goal is to hold your breath as long as possible! Under stress the body produces all the oxygen it needs! Hrrrr!"

It starts off a little slow, and difficult to understand when it comes to voice filters but trust me, you will get caught up as the plot delves deeper and deeper, it's intense! Reconstruction is my favourite movie, hilarious and gutsy.

Get into it and love it!

Red vs Blue: Remnant
Epsilon went missing? The Director got off scotfree? Omega on the loose? They all want something more, bigger than the Freelancer Project, bigger than the Alpha... They want a Covenant army. So why are they after Tex, Missing in Action since Blood Gulch? Church barely escaped AI purgatory once, will he risk it all for the woman he loved and lost? As they cross the reaches of space being pursued by Section 3, vengeful Freelancers and Covenant forces, can the same social retards save the human race?

Easter!

Oh, I shoulda changed this yonks ago! Lots has happened! I went to my first anime con in Brissie, Supernova! All the Medium sized tshirts vanished on the first day so I now have an XL Halo T-shirt which would be ridiculous to wear anywhere anyone can see me. I could turn it into a dress! I picked up two Penny Arcade comicbookss but the real highlight was watching the Cosplay costumes. I drooled and wished I could sew. In highschool I sewed my tie to my teddybear not once but four times so the chances of me cobbling together recognisible is remote.

I also managed to get away for a couple of days for our family's traditional fishing holiday out past Surrat. Out of sixteen people I caught the only fish rather lazily on a handreel, a carp.

I think the highlight was Saturday morning when everyone was up around about 4:30, sitting around the campfire pointing around the landscape and starting every sentence with, "Have you eaten..." Otherwise it was wonderful to sit around bludging and reading. I had to go back early Sunday but it was nice catching up.

G'day Everyone

Well, I knew it was going to happen, I lost my job with the little environmental group that looks after the local river system and now a mining group is buggerising around with it. It was sort of hanging over everyone's heads for the last couple of weeks but I knew it would be me just because I was the latest recruit.

Oddly, I'm not to upset, just a kind of dull, "Oh, okay. Well, thanks for the expirience," kind of tone. And given the choice between one extra wage for hanging around the microscopes and making coffee, or that money on actual pest management or erosion or such, I'd rather they spend it on that rather than me. Frankly it's my other job that keeps a roof over my head and food on my table, TGCG was just a bit of extra pocket money three days a week and a work reference. I got on well with everyone, but not enough to see them outside of work. That's the thing about living in a big city.

I'm sorta wondering what to do now, I really, really don't want to move again. Since I'm still getting paid enough at my other job, which isn't glamorous but fun, I guess I'll stick around and keep submitting resumes and hope someone picks me up. Since moving here I've been feeling kinda lonely, I mean I have friends, but they aren't into anime or comics or all my other nerdy little habits, and I'm too shy to just go out and meet people. The gutless wonder that I am, when I went to join the local anime club at the uni here, I stood outside the door for five minutes before chickening out and going home. I just wish I had someone to talk to about the things I like in Real Life...

I really, really want to talk to someone about Red vs Blue Reconstruction, my god it's full of awesome. It may take me three hours to watch a five minute episode, but god is it's worth it! Hilarious and intense! It's really got me thinking about that RvB fic I shouldn't do.

I've cured my RvB babble at least a little, joining Devi's RvB club

G'day! G'day!
Normally I don't complain, I'm a 'No worries!' kinda girl, even if there are worries. For example, I've been bitten by six different animals this week, four in one day, but No Worries. I'm redoing my resume and I doubt there's anything in the world that can make you feel quite as inadequate, still I've got a job and I'm breaking even, so No Worries. I've misplaced my Seisen notebook, and while that is severely irratating, there's worse things in life. I can't read the latest Naruto chapters and I hear I'm missing some good stuff (Nooo! Kakashiiiii!)!

So, the thing that's annoying me most at the moment is my internet is driving me crazy. I fail to understand why it will load a page full of images such as Deviantart, but won't let me look at TONFA, the Naruto fanfiction archive which is just text... that's what's really bugging me at the moment.... I love that archive! It's perfect for reading, you can download an entire story at once rather than chapter by chapter, it hasn't gone all ban-happy like FF.net, Yuidirnt was doing a fantastic job of quality control last time I looked but it won't let me touch it!

I really hate slogging through FF.net, and there's no Single-Story-Centric websites for Naruto OCs which I love even more than TONFA. I suppose that's the good news.

After a million years it seems I got my writing mojo back. When my computer deleted three chapters of Seisen I was heartbroken and everytime I picked up a pen I just got that, I've written this already, why bother... feeling, and go do something else. I've started again, slowly because I can't find my notebook which is somewhere in the house, but Naruto Seisen will have its own website! I've been scribbling the layout when I'm not working or writing. A big part of this industrious splurge has been :iconthei11: latest Hanabi rendition- I'm really loving Hanabi as a character at the moment- and all you other Naruto OC artist out there! Gaw, you've got some gorgeous designs!

So, I want more inspiration! I want Naruto-OC Fanfic! Anyone who wants honest but tactful reviews for their Naruto-Fanfic, hit me up!

G'day everyone! My computer is having one of it's I'm working days so I decided I better update my journals.

For some reason Deviant art has been touchy, some does it doesn't let me update journals or pictures, somedays it won't let me see notes or messages, some days it won't show my a particular artist or let me reply. Some days it just gives up all together... for no godly reason. So if I don't get back to you, please forgive me and my computer in advance.

It's because of this I had to give up my title as TONFA's Admin. My computer despised it and wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. It's hard to watch over an archive like that. Still I passed to torch to the amazing Yuidirnt, and I'm sure she'll keep it well.

Hmm, other things that have been happening... Oh yes! I have my dog! I've been putting off getting a dog for two years because it would have upset my big project, but now that I'm bludging around I was finally able to get the dog I've always wanted!

If I had a camera, I'd present Darwin, a beautiful two year old male tri-colour pembroke corgie... and the biggest sook in the known universe! Seriously, when I first got him he had to be in the same room with me or he'd figure out how to open the door, he would go near anyone except me and all he wants is pettings. Most corgie's I've known have been gutses for their food but not Daz, he just looks at his full bowl, looks at me and I can see him thinking, 'That's nice, but there's this spot behind the ear that really needs rubbing.' He greets me every morning at four am by throwing himself against a door and then running into my room and looking at me with his soulful eyes until I get up and pet him. He is my 'Little Man' as everyone calls him. 'Katie's going home to her Little Man...' Ha!

It's just as well I have him waiting for me after a long day at work. Ahh, the glamorous life of a scientist! With a big black eye, cut lip and more bruises than I can count (including a very ambitious one on my ankle bigger than my closed fist and more colours than a mardi-gra). I just flop out on the couch and he springs up and sits on my chest...

In other news, still in love with Red vs Blue, I want my Reconstruction DVD! I spend half my day quoting and no one at work gets the joke...
