Whee! Another OC Freelancer for my dragon hoard! Many of you have probably noticed my OC crit about the place. I spend a lot of time on them so when someone takes and uses my suggestions I like to reward them.

Rhody caught my attention first because of her armour, not a lot of people use that tertiary colour option. I also really like the fact that she keeps personal artifacts like her bandana and her earrings. They're things that stand out when scanning profiles; personal choices tell a lot about personality, and personality is the main thing I look at.

Name: Elizabeth aka "Rhody"

Age: 24

Alias: Agent Rhode Island

Nationality: American

Appearance:
Rhody's bright hazel eyes, rosy cheeks and flashing smile charm everyone. She loves to fill her world with warm colours and summery clothes that remind her of home. Her wavy brown hair with a purple headband but her most prized possessions are her red stud earrings glittering red almost as dazzling as her smile. However beneath her perky personality lies the reminder of her clash with the Covenant, a vicious plasma burn engulfs her left calf.

Why they were Chosen for Project Freelancer:
When Rhode Island tried to join the military to defend her family, friends and planet she was not leading the pack so when she finally passed after her third attempt her her persistence and determination caught the eye of her superiors and eventually the Director, particuarly drawn to her obediance and dedication to completing a mission.

Personality:
Rhode Island is a now a far cry from the driven soldier who first joined Project Freelancer, but once she saw herself reflected in her gloomy teammates she couldn't take it. Even in the darkest situations she will put on a brave face and earnest grin because if you tell a lie long enough, loud enough and often enough even you will believe it.She constantly tries to cheer others with corny jokes and silly slapstick but she often gets in trouble for her clownish behaviour. Still, it's totally worth it to see her team happy.

This childish nature means she wears her heart on her sleeve, making lying impossible. She adores physical contact, hugs and hugging and hurting others is almost as bad as hurting herself. Training against her is almost impossible because she refuses to land a blow even during a friendly sparring match. She can be a crybaby if someone is injured during a mission and their wellbeing has often been put above the mission.

Relationships:

York: Gets along very well and he enjoys her happy-go-lucky attitude. She sees him as a big brother and always hugs him when he returns from a mission. He teases her about North but only because she teases him about Carolina. He hates the suit she wears because all the pain it causes her.

Washington: She helps calm his nerves. She takes the blame any of his mistakes and he listens to her troubles. She finds his nervousness and worry funny. He likes how she never insults or pokes fun at him. He knows that she would never betray him or the team. They can be considered siblings with no one considering the other older. They help each other out in combat and social events.

Maine: Not really that close but he lets her jump on his back when she can't see things. She tries very hard to make him smile which he appreciates. He has a big sweet tooth like her so they share snacks sometimes.

Carolina: Thinks she is unprofessional at times but knows she means well. She really sees her as her little sister. Gives her pointers and she accepts her advice. She forces Carolina to "stop" whenever she works too hard. She always tells Carolina that the board doesn't matter. She hugs Carolina whenever something goes wrong (example: when she couldn't get the briefcase) Carolina says she hates it but she secretly finds it comforting.

South: They could be considered best friends but South will never admit it. They are almost always together. South likes how she treats her as an equal and never compares her to her brother. She knows that she has feelings for North but doesn't say anything about it. They cover for each other when South gets drunk or when Rhody does something stupid. She worries that she might start care more about North than her.

North: Enjoys her cheerful nature and her sense of humor. Being object of her affections she has a hard time talking to him, she sometimes stutters. She doesn't stutter if there are more people in the room. Making him laugh is always the high light of her day. He likes her strong relationship with his sister and Theta. He feels that he has to look out for her like his sister. It is unknown if he knows how she feels about him.

Wyoming: He holds a grudge against her for poking his mustache wondering if it was real. She also thinks his accent is stupid and totally fake.

CT: Tries to push Rhody away but she still tries to get to know her better.

Specialization: Rhode will do anything to protect her team, so on a mission she often scout ahead to stealthily identify the danger before it identifies them.

Armor: Although styled in as the standard Mk VI armour in light tan with a purple stripe it is composed of a mysterious foreign substance that accelerates the brainsignals that control the armour.

Armor Enhancements:

Described as the Willow Enhancement, it is resillient as an old tree and yet bends with the wind. Made from a tensile new material discovered on an alien world, initially designed for the lithe and flexible Agent Carolina. However there wasn't enough and want not, waste not it was passed on to Agent Rhode Island. Like it's namesake it's both strong and flexible, perhaps more so than the average armour designs but more importantly it is superconductive, able to transmit the brain signals through out the armour faster than any other, relying on instinct and subconscious thought, but also two seconds faster than her body can react. It forces Rhode to the full potential of a soldier, but is slowly tearing it apart. For this reason she only activates it in bursts but each time wears her down even more. Her greatest fear is that more of this material will be discovered and melded with all the Freelancer suits. More than anything, she doesn't want anyone to suffer as she does.

AI: The more Rhode Island trained with the armour, the more it forced her mind to adapt to it's breakneak speed and flexibility making her unreceptive to any AI.

Preferred Weapons and Fighting Techniques: Creativity and adaptability are Rhode's calling cards; leaping, climbing and hiding to get out of the enemy's line of sight and patiently pick them off one by one. Unlike other Freelancer's who have preferred weapons, she's a jack of all weapons and master of none, chosing the midrange SMG's and Assault Rifles. She may not like being at the center of the fray but she'll do what it takes to protect others. She is the jack of all weapons and master of none.

Backstory:
Elizabeth was born in Rhode Island as the oldest of two. Her childhood was happy, as her young brother's overprotective sister and hated saying goodbye as she went to college to become a historian. Her peaceful life ended while her family were vacationing on another planet only to be Glassed by Covenant forces. They tried to escape but their rescue pelican was shot down and discovered by an ODST as the only survivor of the crash. She will always be reminded of that day by the vicious plasma burn running down her left calf.

Driven to avenge her family she tried again and again to qualify for the military's elite until she heard the whispers of Project Freelancer. She adopted it as her second family and swore she would never lose her family again.
