My Notes: Oh man am I late with this request! I infact had this sitting on my computer with everything done except the expressions, which you can see I raced through and wasn't particularly picky about the expressions. What the hell, I have a dozen Chrissy pictures to do for people including something for my bf.

I am not taking requests. I will open them eventually but I want to get the Christmas season over and done with and then I want to open art trades because I'm shallow and I want art of my characters.

Setting: Post-Reconstruction DU, RT Freelancer RP
Name: Joshua Cain
Age: 35
Alias: Agent Arizona
Nationality: Pure Texan with the accent and vernacular to match.
Appearance: Agent Arizona stands a steady 5' 11", sporting vivid red hair bound at the nape of his neck, a teasing goatee and startling blue eyes that stand out against his mild skin tone. Because he's a casanova at heart he is unconsciously vain about his looks, going to some trouble to avoid unattractive scarring, while being bang up for attractive scarring. He sports a jagged scar on the left side of his chest that with imagination resembles half a heart while a tattoo on his shoulderblade says 'France' in cursive script.

Personality: Considering he spent his younger days chasing anything with two legs and cleavage, it's no wonder Arizona has a way with the female population but since the death of his lover and his newfound fatherhood, he's built himself a solid emotional armour with a glib smile and flirting wink. He wears emotions like clothes as the situation requires so that he has since earned a reputation of being shallow and insincere. He will not sacrifice himself for his teammates, but he will sacrifice them for the mission. He no longer copes well with the deeper emotions. When others try to get beneath his lacquered facade he will first try to wave such intentions away with slick smirk and silver tongue but if they persist he won't hesitate to lash venomously digging dirty, spitting words intended to wound.

The only one to penetrate his self inflicted isolation has been Lieutenant Linda Farewill, his on again, off again girlfriend who has no qualms correcting him with the flat of her hand. Many a mission has been put in jeopardy because of screaming accusations pouring over the radio or flirting intended to make the other jealous to the frustration of his team mates.

Freelancer Story: Arizona was not a part of the initial Freelancer Program. With the program being financed by ONI, they felt they should have one of their own men at the forefront of AI innovation. Unable to refuse, the Director reacted to the interference by placing him as a low level operative worthy only for low level or suicide missions. He was given no AI and an enhancement which was for all intents useless without one. He wasn't particularly put out by this because Project Freelancer was full of gorgeous, powerful women just waiting to fall for his charm and good looks.

However during this time he found out he was a father, and that the mother and child were dead in one fell swoop. Hurt and haunted by a relationship that never was or would be, he suddenly realised how shallow and meaningless his life was at the bottom of the Freelancer barrel, collapsing in on himself like a neutron star.

All this came to a head when he was assigned a lowly escort mission that was unexpectedly attacked by Insurrectionist and crash landed onto an asteroid. He tried to defend the crew as he radioed for help but he was bluntly told by Command neither he nor the ship's cargo was worth recovering. Finally was pushed back into the bowels of the ship, a lone survivor in a bloody massacre when a glint of light caught his attention.

Standing to rapt attention and awaiting further instruction from a helmsmen dead at the controls was the ship's navigational AI, Fox. Although programmed to co-ordinate slipspace jumps Fox was a Smart AI and dove into Arizona's brain. After several minutes of disorientation and Insurrectionist taunting at the locked door, Fox absorbed enough sync with Arizona's Parasite enhancement. The pair barrelled through the militia leaving nothing living in their wake. Fox then helped him repair a damaged escape pod and they escaped with galaxy was at their fingertips.

Specialization: While deemed useless within Project Freelancer, within ONI he was an effective double agent putting his charm and good looks to good use undermining the enemy.

Armour: Arizona's base armour is standard Mk 6 fitted with EVA shoulderpads and an Recon helmet in his signature colours of primary black and secondary red; but when dumped with a broken enhancement he used his old ONI ties to secure a few extras but since they're also prototypes they're prone to short circuits and glitches.

His jetpack has retractable wings for greater stability, his left arm has a grappling hook, and his right with a a mounted gun. His helmet has also been adapted with a rangefinder and thermal scanner.

Armour Enhancements: When the enhancements were initially developed it was hoped several could be contained within the single suit of armour allowing the Freelancers greater adaptability in the field, but we all know how that turned out and in the absence of an AI it could not control even one. For several years Arizona was dumped with a dud.

However several years later and teamed up with Fox the enhancement has some value, although as a prototype it still lacks the strength and dependability of his fellow Freelancers. With prior planning, Arizona can borrow the ability of an allied Freelancer. First Fox must record the programming via a hardline which takes at least thirty minutes to be written and thirty minutes to delete from the armour's harddrive, a necessity because having more than one enhancement code causes the armour to seize up.

AI: After a struggle onboard a stricken supply ship, Fox teamed up with Arizona and the pair were a natural fit. Although technically a Dumb AI designed primarily for slipspace navigation he works remarkably well dealing the the complexities of high tech armour. He may run the armour's enhancement but because he wasn't developed for war he relies on Arizona for strategic direction and will become flustered if asked to run too many of the extra equipment. Fox chooses the avatar of a fair haired young man garbed as an 1800's British Nobleman, wearing red regimental jacket, gold brocade and white tights complete with sabre and flintlock pistol.

Preferred Weapons and Fighting Techniques: Arizona prefers the discipline and endless patience required of a riflemen. His personal weapons are a battle rifle and his own Sniper Rifle affectionately called BB-39, specially adapted to disperse contrails. When forced into a melee he fights with a pair of combat knives.

Backstory: Born and raised in Texas, he's handled guns since he was ten years old, often testing his marksmanship on the local game. His keen eye found his place among the ranks but his charm and charisma made him a natural for ONI's more secretive services, where his bedhopping was without compare. Eventually his runaway appetites caught up with him and he discovered he was a father, all to late as mother and child were killed in a rebel ambush.
